Kathleen Turner has been nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress for her role in Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. The awards will take place June 5, 2005 at 8pm EST on CBS. Kathleen Turner and Bill Irwin have been nominated for "Best Actress in a Play" and "Best Actor in a Play" for their performances in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.

The Drama Desk, which was founded in 1949, honors both Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. The awards show, hosted by Harvey Fierstein, will take place on Sunday, May 22, at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center.
