NEW YORK - George and Martha are going on the road. Kathleen Turner and Bill Irwin will star in a five-month U.S. tour of Edward Albee's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" starting Jan. 1 at the Kennedy Center in Washington.
The two actors played the battling couple in an acclaimed production of Albee's classic drama on Broadway last season and took the play to London where they will conclude a four-month, sold-out engagement Saturday.
After Washington, "Virginia Woolf," directed by Anthony Page, will play Los Angeles, San Francisco and Tucson, Ariz.
